Most tours march you past ten landmarks and recite the dates. He picks four and spends the time on what happened there, and on why the city still argues about it.

What Dmitro does

  • Gothic Quarter on foot

Three hours through the old city, ending where the Roman wall still stands.

  • Gaudí, timed against the crowds

Sagrada Família and Passeig de Gràcia, walked at the hours the queues are shortest.

  • First days in Barcelona

Orientation walk for new arrivals: transport, neighbourhoods and where locals eat.

  • Half day outside the city

Coastal villages and cliff paths reached by train, back in Barcelona the same evening.

About Dmitro

Works with small groups only, on foot, and in three languages. Reads Barcelona as a series of arguments — between the Roman city and the medieval one, between Gaudí and the patrons who paid him, between the visitors and the people living above the shops. Prefers four stops explained properly to ten pointed at in passing.

  • Working languages: Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish
  • Small groups only, up to six people
  • On foot and by public transport, no vehicle involved
